Privacy Policy
We collect the information needed to provide FableChat, remember conversation context, operate safety systems, and support billing when payments are enabled.
What we process
Messages you send, AI replies, usage counters, safety events, approximate product source, and account identifiers needed to restore your conversations may be stored.
When you arrive through a campaign link, we may store limited campaign metadata such as UTM source, medium, campaign, content, term, landing path, character, and capture time. This helps us understand which launches lead to account creation and chats. We do not automatically include full campaign URLs, auth tokens, or account email addresses in campaign metadata.
Before sign-in, your browser may keep this campaign attribution for up to 30 days so it can be attached if you create or sign in to an account later.
When you request an email sign-in code, the current browser tab temporarily remembers the email address and request time so you can continue after a reload. The code itself is not stored. This information is cleared after successful sign-in or when you change the email address, and is no longer used after one hour.
Product analytics
When enabled, we use PostHog to understand page visits, sign-in steps, successful chat replies, and return visits. Your browser stores a random analytics identifier in local storage. We send limited campaign labels, page categories, browser information, and event outcomes. We do not send account identifiers, chat text, email addresses, authentication tokens, or payment details to PostHog, and session recording is disabled.
Memory
The product may summarize conversations and store selected facts to personalize future replies. Raw chat messages are retained as user-facing transcript history unless you request deletion. Safety events use minimized excerpts where possible.
Raw messages that have been deleted cannot be reconstructed from summaries or stored details.
Payments
When paid access is enabled, payment details are handled by the payment provider. We store entitlement and billing-status records, not full card numbers.
